It was a fierce competition and there were plenty of worthy entries. For a while my song was getting some pretty good voter turnout. But by the last day of the competition it got blown away by two other artists who both had 50+ votes each. Devestated, I thought there was no way I was going to win now. So naturally I was super stoked to learn that I was chosen for the Editor's choice award. I would like to thank the academy...oops wrong speech.
